This is a virtual home environment built from pictures on Flickr photo archive collected between 2004–2015.

Using a built generic 3D “home scene”, images on Flickr that are tagged “home” are applied as textures of the room, and they changes as the viewer navigate. Audience is also invited to personalise this home by inputting custom tags, e.g. white cat, tbilisi, charlie xcx.

By randomly fetching and remapping past personal photos onto a “virtual home,” the work aims to highlight the serendipitous way we rediscover old images and how some moments resurface while others vanish, to ask a question of which moments become the wallpaper of our personal histories in a home setting?
